IIT Goa offers a four-year BTech programme across four specialisations. Admisison to all these BTech courses at all IITs is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. All BTech specialisations available at IIT Goa along with their seat intake are mentioned below:

The cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech in Mathematics and Computing Engineering is 6568 which is very close to this range. This was for General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Goa.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Goa has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 5756. In 2022, it decreased to 5555. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2399 to 2476 for OBC, 1764 to 1491 for SC, 695 to 554 for ST, 837 to 990 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories, however, the ranks are slightly different.

The year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mathematics and Computing Engineering at IIT Goa other than General category are - 2579 for OBC, 1583 for SC, 699 for ST, 1154 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:
- Valid email id and mobile number
- Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
- Scanned copy of category certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned copy of PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA

Admission to BTech at IIT Goa is JEE Advanced based. Candidates seeking admission to BTech cannot get admission to any IIT with only the scores of JEE Main. JEE Advanced followed by JEE Main is the complete requirement. After the selection exams are over, JoSAA Counselling is conducted for seat allotment of BTech courses. Candidates who are eligible to get a seat need to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission to the shortlisted course.

In addition to the course fee, candidates are also required to pay the application fee while JEE registration. The same for BTech at IIT Goa through JEE Main official website is INR 1,000 for boys and for girls (of General/ Gen-EWS/ OBC (NCL categories), it is INR 800.

After applying for JEE Main or GATE for admission to BTech or MTech, respectively, candidates are shortlisted for BTech based on JEE Main, JEE Advanced and for MTech based on GATE scores. Then, candidates are allotted seats in JoSAA Counselling for BTech. Admission to M.Tech is through GATE followed by COAP Counselling. The cutoff for BTech and MTech courses is released by the respective counselling bodies. For PhD, the institute releases a merit list announcing the names of the shortlisted candidates.
