The faculty of Government College of Engineering, Amravati for Ph.D programs generally receives positive feedback. Well qualified, most of the lecturers are Ph.D holders and have reputation of being supportive and approachable. The students appreciate their readiness to go into serious discussions as well as provide support particularly in matters dealing with competitive examination preparation (GATE) plus research projects.

It is not true that Government College of Engineering Amravati offers 100% placements for M.Tech students. In the year 2023 placement drive just two students of the twenty six eligible M.Tech students got placed leaving a placement percentage of about 7.69%. The median salary was approximately INR 4,00,000 per annum for these placements.
However, when compared with those of B.Tech students at the same institution; the rates of placement for M.Tech are way much lower. However, the college’s placement cell engages in preparing them by organizing regular drives and delivering essential training support.

This programme has reasonably strong placements for the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Government College of Engineering, Amravati. Other top recruiters are companies such as TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro and Persistent Systems. The average package is about INR 4-5 LPA while the highest package offered recently was around INR 20 LPA.
There are many students who get employed into great companies but maintaining a CGPA of 7.5-8 or above can significantly improve placement chances.

Adamas University and KGEC - Kalyani Government Engineering College both are renowned universities for B.E. / B.Tech.
