A steno-typist (Grade III) gets a salary band of level 10, whereas a bill collector (Grade 1) is entitled to a salary band of level 8. The maximum marks to get qualified in TNPSC "Group 4" vary every year. As per previous year's trends, you need to score more than 150 marks to be sure of getting a post in Group 4 of the TNPSC. No, NCERT books are important, but they are not sufficient to prepare for the WBCS Mains exam. The WBCS has such a broad syllabus that you will need to study additional standard textbooks to prepare for this exam. The NCERT books for classes VI to X provide a good overview of the fundamentals of general awareness subjects, particularly for the prelim stage, but they cannot be relied on entirely. Yes, you can attempt WBCS question papers in Bengali. The WBCS is conducted by the government of West Bengal. Candidates can write this exam in either English or Bengali.
