TNPSC Group 4 2024 Cut Off (SOON): Expected & Previous Year Cut Off Marks

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducted the TNPSC Group 4 exam 2024 on June 9, 2024 across the state at the designated exam centres. The candidates should note that the TNPSC Group 4 paper was moderate and the expected cutoff will remain approximately around the previous year's cutoff. The Commission has mentioned the minimum qualifying marks for the candidates irrespective of the category of the candidate. The minimum qualifying mark is 90. The candidate needs to score equal to or more than the cutoff mark to get selected at any stage of the exam. Firstly we need to understand the marking pattern of the TNPSC Group 4 exam to understand the cutoff calculations. The total; mark assigned to the paper is 300 marks. 

There are 200 questions in the TNPSC Group 4 exam. The paper has two parts and each part has 100 questions. Each question has 1.5 marks.

1. Part A - Tamil Language (100 Questions/150 Marks)
2. Part B - {General Studies (75 Questions) + Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 Questions)} (150 Marks)

Part B of only those candidates will be evaluated who score equal to or more than 40 percent marks ((60 marks) in Part A of the paper. For Part A qualified candidates, the marks secured in Part A and B together will be considered for the ranking list. The cutoff will be decided by the Commission to include a suitable number of candidates for counselling purpose. The commission did not mention the exact number for the Counselling stage.
