WBCS Preparation 2025: Tips, Strategy & Guide

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) will conduct the WBCS exam 2024-25 based on the old exam pattern. The candidates should prepare all the topics mentioned in the official syllabus. The main exam is a combination of objective and subjective papers. The NCERT books, though not sufficient but essential for the WBCS preparation. After completing the NCERT books, the candidates should prepare quick notes about the factual information given in the NCERT books. The candidates should try to write the answers to the questions given after each of the chapters.

Previous Year Question Paper

The WBCS question papers can immensely help the candidates to understand the gravity of the efforts required to clear the WBCS exam. WBCS question papers provide a deep understanding of the exam. The candidates should always use the previous year's question papers as mock test papers and solve them in a time-bound manner. By solving the previous years' paper in a time-bound manner can give them a feel of the proper examination.

Preparing Notes

Preparing self-notes is the key to success in the WBCS exam. Notes immensely help in exam times. The self-prepared notes are easy to remember. Additional space should be left blank for such a purpose.

Revision

The candidate should make provisions about the revision in their study plan. The first revision should be done within a day of the first reading.
