I've seen this question come up a lot — “What are the various kinds of health insurance in India? ” — and honestly, I used to be just as confused. On the surface, it all looks the same. But once I started exploring for my own family, I realized how many different types actually exist.
The most common ones are the basic individual health insurance plans, which cover just one person. Then there are family floater plans, which I initially thought were always cheaper, but they only really work if the age profile of the family is balanced. I also came across senior citizen health insurance, which has slightly different benefits
