The Diploma offered in Food and Nutrition is a hot-selling course focusing on how Science deals with and deals with food concerning our health and can generally span a year or two, depending on the institutions. Entry eligibility would require a student to pass out of the 12th grade, studying these subjects with a Science background. Content covered in the course includes food selections, meal preparations, food science, principles of nutrition, and food preps.

Admission based on merit-12th marks for the most part involves some entrance tests for many colleges. The fee can be around INR 15,000 to INR 30,000 on average for the course.

No qualification requirements are there, and the candidate needs to be only 18 years old. The following is the eligibility for getting the Certificate in Food and Nutrition at IGNOU Regional Centre, Ahmedabad:

  1. The learner must meet the entry requirements of no formal qualification and a minimum age of 18 years.
  2. Pay the programme fee of Rs. 1,900 for the entire programme and the registration fee of Rs. 300.
  3. Applicants may apply for admission either through the website of IGNOU or, in person at the Regional Centre.
