Dietetics and nutrition are similar but two different professions. Dietetics focuses on food management through the proper plan, monitoring and supervision of a patient's diet. On the other hand, nutrition is related to the overall promotion of health by advising people on health and food choices.

Yes, with a background in commerce, you can opt for a dietitian course via certificate or diploma. Without a Science background, it may not be possible to do a degree in nutrition. Doing a graduation and post-graduation or a PG Diploma will make you a nutrition.Whereas certain institutions have an inclination for Science students, there are other institutions providing direct admission or entry-based schemes in B.Sc. Food and Nutrition. Some universities necessitate 10+2 with Biology/Biotechnology in B.Sc. Food Nutrition and Diabetics. You can find employment after such courses as a Dietician, Nutrition Manager, or Marketing/Sales Cons
