There is no such rank required now but some criteria needs to be fulfilled. Minimum CUET cutoff required to get a seat at CUHP.
50% marks (minimum) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor's/UG programs from a recognised university or an equivalent examination is the required criteria. Also, to get the admission in CUHP for MA courses, applicants have to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG). CUHP admits candidates on the basis CUET-PG merit score. The university releases lists after the declaration of the results. On this basis students can register for further admission proceedings.

These are the factors affecting the CUET cutoff for Central University of Himachal Pradesh:

Central University of Himachal Pradesh accepts CUET-PG schools for admission to both UG and PG courses. The counselling sessions of CUET-PG candidates begins after the result declaration by NTA.
Steps to be followed to apply for CUET-PG counselling for Central University of Himachal Pradesh.
Step1: Register on the CUHP admission portal
Step2: Then, Login and upload required documents and pay the registration fee.
Step3: After the registration a merit list will be released that indicates the names of selected candidates which then will be call upon for the document verification.

Soon after the declaration of the results by NTA, universities releases the required cutoff list for their college admissions.
Last year, Central University of Himachal Pradesh CUET cut off for BSC honours in physics was 327.25, for the general category, Cutoff for BFA in painting is 184.41 of general category. For Sanskrit Honours, it is 172.16.
Hence, it is highly dynamic according to different disciplines.

To get admission in Central University of Himachal Pradesh for all PG courses including MA candidates first have to appear in Central University Entrance Test (CUET-PG).Based on the analysis of the previous scores obtained in CUET-PG cut off is generally expected to be above 200.
Candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree with the recognisable institution/equivalent examination can appear in CUET-PG exam. There is no age limit as per the eligibility criteria for CUET-PG. However, university age criteria needs to be fulfilled.

Both the Universities are well regarded and reputed institutions not in Himachal Pradesh but in whole country. But both can be compared on various basis such as faculty, infrastructure, research opportunities or placements.
Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) is Central University all funded by central government.It offers a range of UG, PG and doctoral courses.It relatively have newer infrastructure and facilities since it is Central government funded.It more emphasize research due to its central university status.Its Campus is also good but small in comparison with other central universities.
