Yes, Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Shimla is infact better than AIHM Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, Shimla. The IHM is run by the government, and government recognised certifications are more valued in India. The education and curriculum are similar for both the IHM and AIHM. But the fee structure for the IHM is less compared to that of AIHM. There is a drastic difference between the two. This is because government institutions offer courses at lower fees and private institutions at higher amounts. The placements for IHM are also good. It has a 100% placement rate in 2023.
