XII (10+2) or equivalent examination in any stream with English as the medium of instruction to participate in this admission process. If you have appeared for the board exams in the current year and are awaiting results you can still apply. You will be admitted to IHM-A only if you successfully qualify in the Board Examination. Central government hence fees are significantly low in addition to having seats reserved for OBC, SC, ST etc. Since you mentioned 'culinary college' None of the IHMs are culinary colleges in the sense they have hotel management as a course offered and culinary arts is a small part of the hotel management course. IHM Aurangabad offers a dedicated culinary arts degree which is much more intensive also the Hotel management course at IHMs are 3 years whereas IHM Aurangabad is a 4 year course. Thank you.
