Yes, hotel management is good and very demanding course these days. In addition, if you have some knowledge of C+, it would easier to pursue this course. In my opinion, you should get admission in hotel management as it has good placements and growth prospects.

Diploma in Hotel Management.
Diploma in Food & Beverages Production.
Diploma in Hotel and Hospitality Management.
Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
Diploma in Food and Catering Technology.

For Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology course at BIT Mesra, Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject. Appearing candidates may also apply, subject to production of marksheet with requisite percentage of marks in Class 12 at the time of Entrance Test and Interview. Selection is done on the basis of performance in entrance test and interview.

You can still go ahead and pursue MBA in Hospitality Management, which will be a two years course. Once you complete it you can start your career in the Hospitality Industry. You have many sections and departments to choose to work in. You will have a bright future and growth.

If you have interest in any particular thing, then you must achieve it. And, Hotel and hospitality industry also has a lot of scope. But, one must not join hotel management if he/she thinks that studies are less or there is just practical work and no theory, then he /she is absolutely incorrect. A lot of hard work is required in this stream. And, the theoretical work is as equally as practical work. You must remember that you should never keep your interests or choices aside, do whatever you want, you will always achieve success, but whatever you do put your heart in it. If you have to ultimately go into hotel management then better go directly into it and then pursue Masters in that. However, the packages that you get range from 3 to 7 LPA and the career in this field in India does not seem to be very promising, until you run your own hotel.
