Well, that would be tough because the BA is a base-level degree with more than 100 specializations. It does not include only the base subjects you read in Class 12, but a range of specialised areas in the Humanities and Social Science domain. Though I can name some popular BA specializations like,
- Humanities & Social Sciences: History, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Spanish, Philosophy, Geography, etc.
- Media & Communication: Journalism and Mass Communication.
- Languages: French, Spanish, Hindi, Sanskrit, English, German, Japanese, Chinese, etc.
- Then there are other specializations like Anthropology, Archaeology, Fine Arts, etc.,

Every BA course pursued from DU is the best. But a few specializations that are highly-regarded in DU colleges are BA (Hons) Political Science, BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) English, BA (Hons) History, and BA (Hons) Psychology. Gargi College, Hansraj College, LSR College, Hindu College, Kirori Mal College, Miranda House, Ramjas College, etc., are some great options for BA courses, and the admissions are based on a merit system.

More than 18,000 colleges in India are offering BA courses in a variety of specializations. The fee structure of these colleges can vary depending on their entity type, faculty rating, college rating, infrastructure, placement records, etc. But the average course fee of these colleges starts from INR 1,000 and goes up to INR 40 Lakh.
The difference between the fee range is vast because the number of colleges is huge, and their curriculum, placements, industrial tie-ups, etc., vary.

The BA is a base-level course, where you choose a specific area of study and pursue the course accordingly. For example, BA History, BA Geography, BA Hindi, BA English, BA German, BA French, BA Psychology, and so on. You'll find over 100 BA specializations to choose from. It's a vast field; hence, the subjects also vary depending on the specialization.
But most BA programs start their curriculum with basic subjects to give students a foundational knowledge of what they are going to explore in the coming years.

The exact BA course duration is 3 years in India, but it also depends on the type of BA course you choose. The NEP (National Education Policy) of India has offered freedom for students to choose, whether they wish to pursue a BA course in 4 or 3-year duration. I believe they only provide this choice to students pursuing a BA (Hons) with specialization, and not for a general BA.

It depends on the specialisation you chose because there are a lot, and the curriculum for each specialisation is designed accordingly. For example, suppose you have opted for an MA in Political Science. In that case, you'll study subjects like Debates in Political Theory, Theories of International Relations, Politics in India, and Themes in Indian Political Thought.
Meanwhile, if you are an MA in Psychology student, then you'll probably be studying subjects like Human Cognition, Conceptual History of Psychology, Social Psychology, and Research Method & Statistics.

Not really! While English is widely used in Singapore, knowing Mandarin or Bahasa may be useful for customer-facing roles. However, many part time jobs, especially in hospitality or delivery, prefer the English language, but not mandatory. Always remember, Singapore is a multicultural country.
