According to my friend who is studying there, students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are very less. Hardly 10-15 students in 2018 batch. Mostly, students are from West Bengal, Bihar, UP and Maharashtra.

With this rank he can get any good IIT and topmost NITs. Actually if you want to know in details about the closing rank of top IITs and NITs, it'll better if you go through josaa site for OR( opening rank) and CR(closing rank) trend of previous 3 years.

I will recommend IIEST-Shibpur because it is very old and have a good placement record. Faculty members are good and mess food is okay. Labs are also quite good. Alumni network is very good.
