One of the toughest law schools in Jabalpur would be the Dharmashastra National Law University for its CLAT entrance exam. Most of the other law colleges in Jabalpur do not require this entrance exam, and they are merit-based.

The best law college in Jabalpur can depend on your academic requirements and the courses like LLB, BA LLB, or LLM you choose to pursue. Overall, Hitakrini Law College has been considered the best, given its status as the city's the oldest institution and its long list of alumni. But the recently established NLU Jabalpur is also among the best law colleges in Jabalpur.

Yes, there is one NLU in Jabalpur, well-known as Dharmashastra National Law University. Like other NLUs in the country, admissions here are based on CLAT scores.

Yes, you can pursue an LLB from most law colleges in Jabalpur without appearing for CLAT. In fact, a majority of the private and one govt. institutes that are BCI-approved and long-established, such as Hitkarini Law College and Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya provide admissions based on merit. Only NLU Jabalpur accepts CLAT scores.
