An Academic year at IIIT Manipur BTech is divided in two semesters each of approximately 17 weeks duration, an autumn semester (July-November) and a Spring Semester (January- April), the students are required to follow procedures and meet academic requirements in each semester.

A schedule, approved by the Senate, consisting academic activities for a session, inclusive of dates for registration, mid-semester and end-semester examinations, inter-semester breaks etc., is published on the official website of IIIT Manipur.

The students are advised to attend the lectures regularly and also Extra Academic Activities (NCC, NSS, NSO including camps and other pre-publicised programmes) for which they have been registered.

A student will not be allowed to appear for the examination if his/her attendance is less than 75% and also they will not be awarded certificates for the Extra Academic Activities.

No, there is no provision for direct admission to IIIT Manipur. Candidates have to go through the admission process predefined by the institute.  IIIT Manipur offers BTech and PhD programmes, admissions to which are based on performance of the candidate in the entrance exam accepted.
