Admission to IIIT Manipur will be purely on the basis of the All-India JEE examination and the seat allocation will be through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA 2024) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB-2024). Keep visiting institute website for updates, such as, commencement of classes, class schedule etc. The sanctioned intake of students every year is 374 which is spread over to all the four BTech programmes with reservation of seats as per Government of India:
- BTech in Computer Science & Engineering, intake capacity: 132
- BTech in Computer Science & Engineering with Specialization in Artificial and Data

IIIT Manipur ECE students are taught Control systems, CMOS design, Image and Computer Vision, Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and various other skills. IIIT Bhagalpur Mechatronics students are taught Design of Machine Elements, Electrical Sciences, Computer Programming, and various other skills required in Mechatronics. The decision to take which specialisation depends on the future career dreams of the students. Both courses are quite good and meets the industry standards.

Top 5 good things about IIIT Manipur
- According to the verified Shiksha review, Faculty & Course Curriculum is the best thing about the college. Hence it is rated 3.9/5. The faculty is qualified and trained and course curriculum is well-planned

Yes, IIIT Manipur is a good college. The college offers placement assistance to students. According to the verified Shiksha reviewer, "Labs are extremely good; there are all kinds of labs, like computer labs, VLSI signal and system labs, etc. You can compare the quality in a computer lab. You will get computers with 32GB of RAM and Intel i7 processors. The library and mess are average. The hostel and canteens are good; we are getting 27x7 electricity and there is Wi-Fi with normal speed." Hence it is a good college.
