CSAB Counselling Dates 2026: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has released the CSAB 2026 counselling schedule for the special round at csab.nic.in. The CSAB counselling registration will start on July 28 for the special round.
There will be three types of CSAB counselling process: CSAB special counselling, CSAB NEUT counselling and the CSAB Supernumerary counselling. The dates for each round is made available on the official website of CSAB, csab.nic.in, and also on this page.

CSAB Counselling 2026 Registration Date
The CSAB counselling application form for all rounds - special, NEUT and Supernumerary is released online only. The application forms for all these rounds are released separately, and their deadlines vary. All eligible candidates must register online through the CSAB portal at csab.nic.in according with the provided schedule.
To apply for CSAB 2026, candidates must log in to the official portal using their JEE Main 2026 application number and password. There is no fee to register for any CSAB counselling round. However, fees must be paid after registration and seat allotment as required and as per the schedule of CSAB counselling.
It is not mandatory to appear for CSAB counselling. Candidates who already got seats in JoSAA counselling or in any state engineering colleges are not required to appear for CSAB counselling. The authorities conduct CSAB counselling for the left over seats after JoSAA counselling.

CSAB 2026 counselling registration date for the special round is July 28 to August 3.

No, CSAB counselling has not begun for NIT Andhra Pradesh BTech admissions in 2026. Counselling rounds for BTech admissions through CSAB are scheduled on 28th July. Candidates will be able to register for CSAB counselling starting from 23rd July.

1) Fill JoSSA — try for NIT Manipur/Nagaland/Mizoram in Civil or Mechanical
2) Participate in CSAB — extra chance
3) Don't skip state counselling — OBC quota there can be very beneficial
