Who Can Fill JEE Mains 2023 Application Form Session 2?
It is very important that candidates fulfill the conditions of eligibility before applying for JEE Mains exam 2023. Candidates fulfilling the below-mentioned eligibility conditions are eligible to fill NTA JEE Main application form 2023
- Candidates who have passed the Class 12 exam in 2021/2022 or who are appearing in 2023.
- No age limit.
- For paper 1, candidates must have Physics and Maths in Class 12 and any other subject from Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subject.
- For Paper 2A, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths in Class 12.
- For Paper 2B, candidates must have Maths in Class 12.

Important Guidelines for Images and Documents
- A colour or black and white photo should be used. The candidates are allowed to have spectacles in the photograph. Whereas, sunglasses and caps are not allowed.
- Unclear photos will not be accepted. The photo uploaded should be clear and adhere to the recommended file size, and format as per the guidelines provided by NTA.
- Signature should be clearly done on a white paper. The size and format of the signature uploaded should be as per guidelines.
- The documents uploaded should be of the size and format as prescribed by the NTA.
JEE Main 2023 Application Fee Session 2
Candidates must pay the application fee to submit the JEE Main 2023 registration form. Candidates have several online payment options including Credit/Debit cards, Net banking, UPI and wallets. Payment of the application fee via offline method is not allowed. For Indian and overseas applicants, the fee varies. Additionally, the candidates must pay more if they are applying to multiple examinations for different courses.

How to Fill JEE Main 2023 Application Form
The filling of JEE Main application form is a four-step process and includes registration, filling the academic and personal information, uploading the necessary documents, and fee payment. Follow the steps below to fill out the JEE Main 2023 application form.
- Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Select the option that says "New Candidate Registration."
- Complete the registration form with the necessary data, then click on the "submit" button. A login ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile phone or email ID.
- Login using the details provided and fill in all the information asked in the application form. After which the documents and photographs should be scanned and uploaded.
- The next step is to pay the application fee through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI.
After the application fees have been successfully paid, the application form will be instantly submitted. The confirmation page or PDF of the completed form will be sent to the candidate’s email ID.

What's New in JEE Main 2023 Registration Process
NTA has introduced a few new changes in the application process for JEE Main last year. Check out the new changes:

The process of filling JEE Mains 2023 application form has been simplified into three steps: Registration, Filling the Form and Payment of Application Fees. Candidates can complete all steps at the same time or in parts.

At the time of JEE Main 2023 registration, candidates have to enter the OTP received in their mobile number and before submitting the fees, they have to enter the OTP received in their e-mail address.

Choice of exam cities for the exam will be displayed to candidates based on the permanent and present address filled during JEE Main registration.

After final submission, candidates will receive a copy of their filled application form in their email ID. Candidates can also download their forms from the UMANG app or DigiLocker.

The given steps can be followed to fill JEE Main 2023 application form. Candidates are advised to fill in all the details in the application carefully and not make any mistakes.
Step 1- Registration: In the first step, candidates must complete the JEE Main 2023 registration process at jeemain.nta.nic.in. After clicking on ‘New Registration’, candidates will have to check the instructions and register by submitting the given details:
- Personal Details – Name, Parent’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Identity Type, Identification Number.
- Present Address
- Permanent Address
A strong password has to be generated by candidates. After confirming all of the provided details, the JEE Main 2023 application number will be generated and displayed on the screen. The application number has to be kept safe since it will be required during the entire admission process.
Step 2- Filling of Application Form: Next, candidates will have to select their nationality, category, session of exam applying for, question paper medium and choice of test cities. Four exam cities have to be selected in the order of preference. Candidates will also have to provide their education details and parents’ income information.
Step 3- Uploading of Scanned Documents: After filling out the form, candidates will have to upload their scanned documents i.e., photograph and signature. If applicable, the category certificate and PwD certificate also have to be uploaded.
Step 4- Payment of Fee: Next, candidates will have to pay the JEE Main 2023 application fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI as per their category and the number of selected papers.
Step 5- Print out Confirmation Page: Finally, candidates will have to print out the confirmation page for future use.

Common Problems in JEE Main 2023 Application Form Filling and Solution
The students can experience various difficulties when completing the JEE Main application forms, like payment issues or trouble uploading images. Some of the frequent problems and their possible solutions are listed below.
Issue with uploading documents
- Issues with uploading documents and scanned copies of photographs/signatures are the most common problems many students encounter when completing the JEE Main 2023 application.
- The most common reason for these issues is that the images to be uploaded do not adhere to NTA standards.
- The issue can be quickly fixed by resizing the image according to the NTA specifications.
- The images can be resized using one of the many online tools available.
- Keep the scanned copies of the documents in the proper format and size.
Issue with Application Fee Payment
- Due to a slow internet speed or problems with the bank server, candidates may experience difficulties paying the fee. Candidates are recommended to try the payment process again later in this circumstance.
- If the money has been deducted, but the payment status still indicates that payment has not been made, candidates must wait 24 hours before retrying. Candidates will have to pay the fee again if the status still shows “not paid” after 24 hours. The previously paid amount will be credited back to their bank accounts.
Timeout or File not found error
- For filling the JEE Main 2023 application form, make sure you open the application form page in the recent version of Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer and have a stable internet connection.
- Clear the browser's cookies and history in case of timeout error, then retry during off-peak hours.
JEE Main 2023 Form Correction
NTA will start JEE Mains correction in application form 2023 session 2 in the second week of March. JEE correction window for session 1 was available from January 13 to 14. Candidates who wish to make any changes in their filled form can use JEE Main correction window 2023 to modify the details. Candidates must note that the correction facility is provided only once so they must modify the details carefully within JEE Main 2023 correction date.
Candidates can make corrections in the filled form by login to the JEE Main website. Candidates must note that only certain fields can be edited during the correction period. It is a one-time facility open that allows candidates to make changes in their forms.
To make the correction, candidates had to log in to the website using their application form number and password after which they have to select the information which needs to be modified. All the modifications has to be done carefully as the information once changed can not be reverted back.
How to Make Corrections in JEE Main 2023 Application Form
- Open the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Correction window link
- Login using your application number and password
- JEE Main application form 2023 will be displayed on screen
- Select the information that needs to be edited and make the required changes
- Click on Save button
After making all the changes, candidates are advised to download and take a printout of their JEE Mains form 2023.
Can I fill another application form in case of mistakes in the first form
Candidates are advised not to fill more than one application form. If any candidate fills multiple application forms, NTA could cancel the forms and his/her candidature can be rejected. It is thus strongly advised to fill out only one application form.
JEE Main 2023 Exam Centre
National Testing Agency (NTA), the examination conducting authority assigns the JEE Main 2023 exam locations. NTA will conduct the exam in 399 cities in India and 25 cities outside India. Candidates can choose from a list of JEE Main 2023 exam centres given by NTA. It is advised that the candidate choose a centre that is most close to their home. JEE Main exam centres are there in India and abroad. Information on the exam centre, examination timings, and other guidelines to be followed on examination day are included in the JEE Main admit card.
