With a 78.266 percentile in JEE Mains and belonging to the OBC category, I understand you're hoping for a seat in NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs. To be honest, at this percentile, the chances for NITs and IIITs are quite slim - even with the OBC reservations. The competition is really tough, and most of these institutes have much higher cutoffs, even for reserved categories.
That said, don't lose hope! Sometimes, a few distant or lesser-known GFTIs might have lower cutoffs, so it's worth checking last year's opening and closing ranks on the official JoSAA webiste. If you do find a possible option, make sure to look carefully at the branch and ca

Yes, you can get a seat at IIITs. But I personally believed that you should prepare for session 2 where you can score much better than session 1 and if your score is not better, the session 1 score is still available to take admission in the IIITs. IITs are also better in terms of campus placement and education facility and also a government one.

Admissions to IIIT Nagpur is offered on the basis of valid entrance scores of the accepted exams. For courses such as BTech, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 75% in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. In addition to this, candidates must secure valid scores in JEE Main and meet the cutoff rank to qualify for the counselling round. Candidates must register for JoSAA counselling for the final allocation of the Institute, based on the preferences drawn by the candidate.
