Your chances are low to secure admission at top NITs or GFTIs or IIITs because you hold an 82 percentile in Mains while being in the OBC NCL category. You have the possibility to secure admission into lower-ranked institutions among NITs and GFTIs. The colleges NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Meghalaya and NIT Sikkim provide admission opportunities to OBC NCL students through closing ranks between 20000 and 30000 during 2023. Your possibilities of admission to GFTIs include IIIT Kota and IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Sri City based on their 2023 closing ranks that ranged between 15,000 and 25,000 for the OBC NCL category. With an 84 percentile in JEE Mains from the OBC category in 2024, NIT or IIIT admission is difficult but not out of the question. Generally, NITs will have a higher percentile, sometimes over 90 for sought-after branches. But newer NITs or less sought-after branches may take lower-percentile candidates. IIITs also have different cutoffs, and some may take candidates with an 84 percentile. It's best to look for individual cutoffs for each institute and factors such as class 12th marks, which are taken for admission to these institutes.

Having an 87.05 percentile and an OBC rank of 65,562 in JEE Mains, to get a seat in the IIIT Hyderabad Computer Science Engineering (CSE) course is not guaranteed. The OBC cutoff score is usually between 50,000 and 100,000 depending on which IIIT and in which year. Although your percentile is a good score, it might not be enough to reach the desired rank for IIIT Hyderabad, particularly since it is competitive. It is better to look at the actual cutoffs for the ongoing admission cycle to have a better idea.

Since their cutoffs are usually substantially lower, it may be difficult to gain admission to premier branches of prestigious NITs, IIITs or GFTIs if you are a female candidate with an EWS rank of 17,000 in JEE Main However there can be openings in more recent or less popular disciplines and institutions.
For example the JEE Main cutoff for students in the General category in 2024 was 93.2362181 percentile, whereas the cutoff for candidates in the EWS group was marginally lower.
Certain more recent NITs, IIITs or GFTIs might have higher closing ranks which might accommodate your EWS rank, even if the precise cutoffs for each institution

Having AIR of 604,826 and SC category rank of 45,093 in JEE Mains, Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or any specialisation in NIT, IIIT, or GFTI seat cannot be attained. Cut-offs for CSE in top NITs and IIITs are usually well below this rank, and it is highly competitive. But you may have chances in some lower or newer IIITs, NITs or GFTIs in other streams of engineering. You should have choices to consider other courses or state-level engineering colleges, private institutes, or alternate options like management quota seats to have better probability. Keep looking at the JoSAA counseling rounds for any update.

With 1,96,878 rank in JEE, its very difficult to get seat in top NITs or IIITs. But in some Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) with low cutoff ranks, you can try. Students can also choose to apply to GFTIs through JoSAA counseling or get into private colleges that offer better chances of admission. Continue exploring colleges and focus your attention where your rank fits.

With 96.12 percentile in JEE Mains and 71.4% in CBSE board exams of 12th, you can be considered for admission in NITs and IIITs, but each institute's eligibility may differ. Most NITs and IIITs require a minimum aggregate of 75% in 12th or to be among the top 20 percentile in your board exam for general category students. But some IIITs and NITs relax the criteria for specific categories. You should make sure to verify the respective eligibility and cutoff information of the institutions you are applying to, particularly in terms of your category.
