Considering the previous year cut off it is quite difficult to get seat in NIT or IIIT with the given rank. Your category rank must be under 8000 to have decent chances of getting seat in an NIT or IIIT. As your rank is above 8000 you may not get seat in NIT or IIIT. However, you may get seat in a college through state counselling. In states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttara Khand, Madhya Pradesh admission in to Engineering courses is based on merit in JEE Main. You can apply for admission in to such colleges if you fulfill the eligibility criteria.

The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

• It is the latest IIIT College, which was founded in 2015, and this College is in PPP mode.

Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu was founded by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India in 2007. It's one of the two IITDMs, the other is the IITDM Jabalpur.

• Fee structure: INR 5.25 Lacs ( Total fees)
• The highest salary package for CSE students ( off campus) is INR 65 LPA, the highest salary package is INR 14 LPA (on-campus).
• The average salary package is INR 8 LPA.
• Saint Gobain, L&T, Daimler, HCL, Infosys are the top recruiting companies.
• Manager and Project Manager are top roles offered.

You may go for IIIT Kottayam if you want to have a good programming skills. Curriculum wise IIIT Kottayam follows that of IIIT Hyderabad which is best in India.2019 was the first year when IIIT Kottayam saw its first placement. Institute had good companies coming forward to recruit them. Some of them where NISSAN, L&T, Reliance (JIO) and many more startups.Anyway, it all ends up at what you really want and how good you want it, are you willing to put the effort given any circumstances.
