The IIIT Trichy BTech admissions 2025 are based on candidates' JEE Main scores. Qualifying candidates must go for Registration for JoSAA counseling which is free of charge. Applicants are not required to pay to register for or take part in the counseling. Once a seat is assigned to an applicant, they must pay the seat confirmation fees. the cost of a seat confirmation varies depending on the category and must be paid online.

On the basis of available data for IIIT Trichy BTech cutoff which is stated in terms of JEE Main All India Ranks for the last three years (2022, 2023, and 2024), the trend appears to be declining for both Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) specialisations for the general category.

GATE CCMT exam is conducted by National Institute of Technology Warangal for 2025. Last year, it was conducted by NIT Delhi. Additionally, IIIT Trichy has released its initial round to select candidates occupy M.Tech seats. Considering the Round 1 seat allotment results 2025, the IIIT Trichy cutoff ranged between 460 and 589 for the General All India quota.
