Yes, the CGPA is enough to qualify. You can make to most of the IIMs with this CGPA if you have good scores in CAT/12/10. Focus on maximizing your score in CAT and you are good to go.

Work experience is seen as a positive for any MBA program in general. You are advised to prepare well on your work experience and learnings and use it to your advantage during interviews. JEE in public sector is a good experience. So, be confident when you describe it to interviewers.

You should aim at older IIMs (Bangalore, Indore, Lucknow and Calcutta) and then the newer ones. Other colleges you can look for are MDI-Gurgaon, NITIE (good for engineers), S. P. Jain, NMIMS-Mumbai and IMT-Ghaziabad.

As good as no for general category. If you are from SC/ST, you can give CAT a shot.

A score above 99 percentile to get calls from most IIMs. Even after getting calls you need to perform well in the What/PI session. They do give weightage to academic profile and your score in graduation is bit lower, so you need to perform well in PI.

Hi,
Preferably your graduation should be through the regular mode as it gives you better exposure than distance. If you have limitations, you may go ahead with BBA from a recognised university as the admission in B-schools is based on entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, etc. for India and GMAT for abroad. If your scores are good, you can easily get admission in a good B-school. If you opting for distance course then you must have some work experience to make your profile look good.
Hope this helps.

BBA is general management studies and MBA is an enhancement of the knowledge. To pursue the career as a manager, BBA+MBA is the best option.
B.Tech is a technical field and students interested in the technical knowledge opt for B.Tech. Students after completing B.Tech work as the technical assistant and to move higher in the organisation they need managerial skills and hence opt for MBA. For B.Tech graduates, MBA opens more options as they have technical knowledge along with some managerial skills, hence benefiting them to understand the business in the better way.

CAT is highly competitive. Anybody with a plan and hard work can clear CAT to do MBA in IIMs. First, you must do your strength and weakness analysis. Based on this you can plan requirements of coaching or external support to crack CAT.
All the best.
