More than 85% is mandatory for general category students, for other categories even lower marks can do. Mostly, you would need good graduation score and work experience.

You can take admission in IIMs but you need to score very good in CAT so as to compensate your graduation score.

Hi,
None of the IIMs takes admission only on the basis of CAT. Even after scoring 100% in CAT you need to have very strong academic background and you need to make it through the interview and GD rounds, then only you will get admission.

(overall Cat score, sectional cutoffs, 12th %, 10th %)
GEN 90 80 60 60
OBC (NC) 80 70 60 60
SC 65 50 55 55

The process will consist of the following with the given weight ages.
Personal Interview 45%
CAT 35%
GD/WAT 15%
Work Experience Quality 5%

To pursue MBA in India, you need to clear CAT exam. You need to score decent marks to get admission in a good Colleges. It does not depend on class 10th or 12th percentage.
