A rank of at least 175 is required in the General AI category in the last round to gain admission to the MSc in Physics course. Check the list below to know the highest acceptable rank for other categories for the aforementioned programme.

Yes, 20 might be an excellent rank for gaining admission to the IIT Delhi BDes course if you belong to the General or OBC AI category. For both these categories, the last round closing ranks were 28 and 32, respectively.

Students can check the table below to know the highest rank accepted by different categories under the All India quota.

For students belonging to the SC AI quota, a cutoff rank between 260 and 1478 is considered to be a safe rank for MSc admission at IIT Delhi. The better (lower) your rank, the higher is the probability of securing a seat at IIT Delhi for MSc. This is the overall cutoff range for MSc admission, including all the rounds and specialisations for the SC category students. The round-wise IIT JAM cutoff range for 2025 is given below for MSc admission.

The BTech in Civil Engineering branch saw the biggest jump, with a total of 732 over the last 2 years in its closing ranks(from 4169 in 2023 to 4901 in 2026). This is the cutoff range for the General AI category. 

For the OBC AI category, B.Tech. in Biochemical Engineering & Biotech saw the biggest jump (from 2749 in 2023 to 3035 in 2026), which is a 2-year total jump of 286. Different categories and rounds will have different cutoff differences.

IIT Delhi cutoff 2026 has been released for admission to the BTech course up to the last round. In the final round, the closing ranks varied from 128 to 12730, wherein CSE came out as the most sought-after specialisation for admission.

The cutoff for the B.Des course at IIT Delhi in 2025 (Round 1) was a closing rank of 35 for the General (AI) category. For other categories, the cutoff ranks were 21 for OBC and 11 for SC candidates. Admission is based on UCEED scores followed by a counselling process.

JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 for BTech course ranged from 126 to 5733 for students in the General AI category, so therefore a student should attain a rank of 5733 or preferably lower to increase their chances of admission to IIT Delhi. Please note that BTech cutoff 2025 will vary according to different rounds, courses, specialisations and categories. Students can refer to the table provided below to view the IIIT Delhi JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 for the last round in the General category.
