Decent placements, teaching assistants, and well-designed curriculum, all facilities are available.
Placements: In my branch, i.e., civil, there are a variety of jobs available, and people here often choose different fields. Core companies are like L&T, Godrej, PSUs, and many more. In software development, many companies, like Flipkart, Google, and Amazon, recruit. The average package is of 18 LPA, and the highest is 60 LPA.
Infrastructure: College has provided all the necessary facilities that could be done. The maintenance is different point. But like in every hostel, there are tv room, a music room, a common room, a study room, and different courts, a gym, and courts at insti level also there, the central library has all the necessary books. Hostel infrastructure is a bit old, but it can be compromised.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but some professors are way too strict, like low attendance grade down and all that, besides the curriculum is good, i.e., if you study at least 1-2 hours daily, then the semester exams would be a piece of cake. The pass percentage is like 5 grade in each course.
Other: The attendance policy is a bit hectic, some courses are luck-based, and other things are nice.

The faculty in the Civil Engineering is excellent.
Placements: Around 80-85 percent of Civil Engineering students at IIT Delhi get placed each year, with average packages around 18 LPA-20 LPA, the lowest near 7 LPA-8 LPA, and exceptionally high crossing above 1 crore per annum in rare cases. Top recruiters include consulting, tech, and PSU companies such as BCG, American Express, Microsoft, IOCL, and BPCL. Many students also secure internships in similar firms, with roles in consulting, project engineering, infrastructure management, and design. Overall, the department offers strong opportunities across core and non-core sectors.
Infrastructure: The department has good labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and access to a well-equipped central library. Hostels have decent rooms, regular cleaning, and basic amenities. Mess food is average, but canteens are better. Medical facilities, sports grounds, and gyms are all reliable.
Faculty: Teachers are generally qualified and knowledgeable, though the teaching quality can feel uneven at times. The curriculum is relevant and provides a good technical foundation, but may not fully match industry needs. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and most students pass with consistent effort.
Other: It is the best college for civil engineering in India.

Infrastructure of some hostels should be improved.
Placements: A good payment is made to those students only who choose coding as their career. Jobs in civil engineering are not a good option. Most civil engineering students at IITD go for civil services or any other government exam. (Approximately 50% of students get placed, we can say).
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure should be improved with time which is not being done. Some hostels are really in bad condition, they should be renovated properly. Food in the hostel is okay but not very good. Wi-Fi facility is really nice. Classrooms, library, and labs are outstanding in infrastructure and facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. Exams are tough but they are easy to pass because pass percentage is 30%. Overall, it is easy to pass but to get better grades, you have to work hard.

Our college is the most beautiful college in the world.
Placements: Civil Engineering has an 80% placement rate. The highest salary offered was 1.3 crores per annum, and the lowest was 6 lakhs per annum. Students are placed in both private and government civil engineering companies. 90% of students get internships, and many go on to become managers, assistant managers, or CEOs. IIT Delhi is one of the most prestigious institutions in the world.
Infrastructure: IIT Delhi is one of the most beautiful colleges in the world and has one of the best infrastructures among world-class universities. In addition, the civil department at IIT Delhi is the best place to study civil structures.
Faculty: The quality of education here is very good. The professors are knowledgeable and provide a lot of information in their lectures. However, they don't always provide a lot of opportunities for students to ask questions or provide feedback.
Other: I'm an alumnus of IIT Delhi, and I think civil engineering is the best course in the world. The college has improved a lot since I was a student there, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering studying civil engineering.

Really good infrastructure and the most reputed institute for engineering in India.
Placements: Most students in this course are unplaced because many students choose other careers, such as civil services, consulting, or coding, instead of their core branch. However, those who are placed get decent packages, averaging about 8 lakhs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostels is not that great, but the study areas like the library and lecture halls are very well developed. The classrooms are fully air conditioned. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus and the speed is decent. The mess food is awesome, but it is expensive.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are also very helpful and hold doubt sessions to help students understand difficult concepts. Semester exams are not very difficult if we study regularly. More than 90% of students pass. The course curriculum prepares students for placements in their respective fields.
Other: I chose this college because it is one of the most reputed institutes for engineering. It is also well known for its cultural fest, which is considered to be the largest north Indian cultural fest. The best thing about this college is that you will be surrounded by brilliant minds from all over the country.

If we talk about the placement, infrastructure, campus life, and exposure, everything is top-notch.
Placements: Almost 100% of students get placed if they sit in placement, but sometimes most of the students go for higher studies and some of them for government services. Many students get high placement, but as of now, 3-4 students from my batch got more than 30 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA. All recruiting companies are not from the core; some were in a tech background, some were in consulting, and some in core like BPCL. About 20-30% of the total strength got an internship in various companies, as the placement I mentioned above the company.
Infrastructure: Hostel buildings you will find old but well-maintained with good facilities. Everything is good here, like you will get free washing machines to all sports courts like badminton, volleyball, and basketball and a gym too. You will have great food in the mess at an affordable price.
Faculty: IIT is known for top-class and highly qualified faculty members. Course programs are absolutely relevant. Yes, it's difficult if we talk about the semester exams; you have to secure 30% to pass the exams, but scoring 30 percent is not easy.
Other: I was interested in the government sector, so I chose civil engineering here instead of computer science in another IIT.

Campus life at IIT Delhi.
Placements: I am currently studying, so my batch is not placed yet, but my seniors got placed at good companies with good salaries. The percentage of batch placement is 87.69%, and the median salary is 20.30 LPA for civil engineering. Overall, in 2023, the highest package was 2.5 crore.
Infrastructure: Course professors are the best. Hostel rooms are too small; otherwise, hostel life at IIT is amazing. Wi-Fi facility is okay. Sports and games facilities are excellent. We have coaches also. IIT Delhi has its own sports fest called Sportech. Mess food is healthy and tasty.
Faculty: Exams in IITs are difficult. We have a semester of almost 4 months, and we have many quizzes and minor and major exams. Sometimes, we have to study from YouTube. The professors are good. We have teaching assistants also. We have too much pressure from academics.
Other: Civil engineering at IIT Delhi is very good. Many students from other colleges also come to our college to visit. We have many fests of our own, like RDV, Spranza, Sportech, etc. There are many options for extracurricular activities like dance, music, Spic Macay, drama, and tech clubs.

This college is good in everything.
Placements: They provide placements all over India and produces perfect engineers every year. There is no problem to find placements. Many students got a crores package also. The average package of the college is approximately 21 Lacs. Many students don't go for jobs and start their own business.
Infrastructure: The hostels are very nice and mess has amazing food. If you are in stress, you can go to another room and talk to them. The college have sports grounds. If you are interested in any particular sports, you can practice here daily. And you can make your future also.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful in everything. You can reach to them if you have any problem. Curriculum is very good. Exams are very hard so that we work hard and get good placements. They take exam in 1 month so we can check ourselves.
Other: Campus life is amazing. If you need something you can reach to anyone. Most important thing all students are against ragging.
