Best college in India, great placement, awesome faculty, mesmerizing infrastructure.
Placements: Placements at IIT Delhi are crazy. More than 80% are placed every year with an average package of 20-25 lakhs per annum. Placements are not restricted to core fields only. Companies like McKinsey, Deloitte, and Accenture also take up students irrespective of their branches.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities of IIT Delhi are top class. Wi-Fi speed in rooms can reach up to 100 Mbps. Proper hygiene of washrooms is maintained. Hostel food consists of a varied variety from Chinese to North Indian. The hostel mess is kept neat and tidy. A dedicated team is appointed for the maintenance of the hostel.
Faculty: Nothing is better than studying at IIT Delhi. Excellent, highly experienced, and immensely dedicated faculty, a properly designed up-to-date curriculum, and fully air-conditioned classrooms with projectors and speakers lift the learning experience to the next level.
Other: The campus life of IIT Delhi feels like you are in heaven. There are no restrictions on what you do, so there are many opportunities for extracurricular activities, and Olympic-level infrastructure for sports makes this place the dream of every student. Mostly every month, there are one or two events going on. One special thing about IIT Delhi is its location; unlike any other IIT, IIT Delhi is situated in one of the top localities of Delhi (Hauz Khas), which makes connectivity to other parts of Delhi very easy. Similarly, no other IIT can beat IIT Delhi in its nightlife. Within walking distance, one can find clubs, cafes, and party places, which no other IIT can provide.

The best dream college - IIT Delhi.
Placements: IITD is known for its placements. Last year, more than 80% of the students who appeared for job interviews got placed in all sorts of companies, including tech, consultancy, and core sectors. The highest package was in crores, offered by Jane Street, while the average package was approximately 17-18 lakhs.
Infrastructure: The facilities are the best. The rooms are good and spacious. The mess food is famous for its variety and taste. Classes are fully centralised air-conditioned. Wi-Fi speed is around 130 Mbps per student. The Central Library at IIT Delhi is one of the biggest and most prestigious libraries among all IITs.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are highly qualified and helpful. Most of the professors graduated from many reputed universities worldwide, such as Stanford University and Cambridge University. They have excellent experience in teaching, around 15-20 years, and are also engaged in research work for many organizations.
Other: IIT life is best known for the events and fests that take place throughout college life. October is mainly the time for the cultural fest Rendezvous, which is Asia's biggest cultural fest. The tech fest Tryst is also very famous, taking place around March. All the students from all years come together and participate in various events, creating nice memories.

IITD - The dream college for B.Tech undergrads.
Placements: IITD is the best in terms of placement, with the highest package going up to even 4 crore by Jane Street and other quant companies. Even the average package here is good, as core companies offer at least 15 LPA to students. Almost all students end up getting placed here, even if they just maintain the basic CGPA criteria of 7.
Infrastructure: The facilities at IITD are top-notch for both academics and sports, with labs equipped with the most up-to-date instruments on par with industry standards. Classrooms are well-designed, with proper AC and speakers, allowing professors to teach classes of up to 300 students without any trouble. The hostel facilities have seen significant improvement in the mess food over the past few years, with the menu decided by students. As for sports at IITD, the facilities are among the best you can find anywhere in India, with numerous courts and equipment for over 20 sports, and tournaments happening year-round, making sports at IITD as important as academics.
Faculty: The quality of exams at IITD is very good; sometimes the papers can have just 2 questions with a time limit of 2 days, and all resources, including books and the internet, are allowed. Through these types of paper patterns, professors assess students on different criteria. The format varies by professor, with some papers being objective and others subjective. The passing marks also vary from course to course, but usually, it’s around 25 out of 100.
Other: I chose this course because I have always been curious about technology since childhood, and I decided to become an engineer. The best choice for pursuing engineering was to attend IITD, which is why I chose this college. On an extra note, the fest at IITD, Rendezvous, is regarded as one of the best in India.

There is plenty of time to explore other areas, if you are still confused about your career.
Placements: On a general note, the placements are pretty good; every student who has worked even a little bit on skills and maintained an average CGPA has been able to get a job. In my course, the skill aspect helped more students get an internship or placement. For the core companies, there were Vedanta, JSW and also Chakr Innovation in internships. Apart from that, Adobe, BCG, and McKinsey also selected some students.
Infrastructure: Our department is a new one; hence, it doesn't have its own infrastructure as of now, but from next year onwards, our department will be shifting to a new building that is very well built and has some of the best lab equipment in India. Hostels are decent, but they are quite old too so people do have to deal with the infrastructural issues. The newer hostels have much better facilities.
Faculty: The course is very manageable as the content is not very difficult and quite relevant to the field. If studied regularly throughout the semester, it's really easy to score well. Professors are also skilled and almost all of them have completed their PhDs from very prestigious universities. They are always ready to help us if we of any doubts. So the teaching quality is good. The difficulty of semester exams depends on professors. About 90–95% of students pass the courses on average.

Great life at IIT Delhi with lot of opportunities.
Placements: Materials Enginneringis a new branch which has a lot to offer. Placement-wise, opportunities are offered in Tata Steel, IBM, Musigma, etc. It's a research-oriented branch having opportunities of doing MS in Ivy League schools and in India in DRDO, ISRO etc. The average package is not yet estimated as no batch has passed out yet.
Infrastructure: Amazing labs and opportunities are available here. Wi-Fi is available everywhere in college. Classrooms are well furnished and fully AC. Library has wide range of books and is fully AC. Hostel good is really good. Breakfast is great with lot of options.
Faculty: The faculty is well qualified. Teaching quality is not that satisfactory but professors are highly knowledgeable and you can learn a lot from them in class as well as out of class. You can reach out to them for projects. The curriculum is well designed. In the first year, all students do the same courses irrespective of their branch which is helpful in studying core courses further. Semester exams are not that tough and the pass percentage is generally 30.
