During 2023 placements, 148 students received packages above INR 30 LPA. Earlier, 162 students received packages of more than INR 30 LPA during the 2022 placements. The table below represents the salary-wise bifurcation of IIT Dhanbad placements 2022 and 2023:

The placement rate for UG circuital branches dropped by nearly 4% from 2022 to 2023. On the other hand, the placement rate for PG Engineering and Science branches increased by nearly 34% from 2022 to 2023. The placement percentage for MBA has also increased from 2022 to 2023.
