The eligibility requirements for IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc.) did not involve a minimum percentage or marks in Class 12 for the majority of participating institutes. The eligibility criteria for IIT JAM are largely concerned with the bachelor's degree and the minimum marks or CGPA necessary to secure in that degree.

Candidates for the IIT JAM must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate or 5.5 CGPA/CPI. IIT Bhubaneswar MSc cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1, wherein M.Sc. + Ph.D. in Geology was the most competitive specialsiation with a closing rank of 127 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course was M.Sc. + Ph.D. in Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences with a cutoff rank of 589. IIT Hyderabad cutoff 2024 has been released across various specialisations in the form of opening and closing ranks. IIT Hyderabad MSc cutoff 2024 ranged between, 332 and 345 for the General AI category candidates, wherein, the top courses with the highest ranks needed were M.Sc. in Mathematics (332), and M.Sc. in Chemistry (336). For a detailed IIT Hyderabad branch-wise cutoff 2024, candidates can refer to the table below for the Last Round cutoff. The cutoff mentioned below is for the General category under the AI Quota.

The IIT Jammu MSc cutoff 2025 has been released wherein the M.Sc. in Chemistry is the most competitive specialisation with a closing rank of 714 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course is M.Sc.in Physics with a cutoff rank of 759

IIT Jammu admission to the MSc course is based on IIT JAM scores, followed by the IIT JAM counselling process. Only candidates on the JAM merit list based on JAM  scorecard will be eligible to apply for admission.

So, candidates seeking admission in Round 3 must target a cutoff rank of up to 674 for MSc admission. The cutoff ranks vary by rounds, specialisations and categories.

The least competitive course is M.Sc. in Mathematics with a cutoff rank of 425. So, candidates seeking admission to any of the MSc courses must secure a rank up to 425 to be eligible for IIT Ropar.
