Absolutely, you can pursue an MBA after completing your BSc in any field from IIT Madras. The primary eligibility for an MBA is primarily a bachelor's degree with minimum marks established by the university, as well as entrance scores and work experience.

According to media reports, 1,091 students were placed in phase I and phase II of 2023-24 placements. More than 80% of BTech/ Dual Degree and 75% of Master degree students have been placed till April 30, 2024. The total count of participating companies stood at 256. Furthermore, 44 international offers were made. The IIT Madras average package and median package for the 2024 batch stood at INR 22 LPA and INR 19.60 LPA, respectively. The majority of students (40%) placed during IIT Madras placements 2024 received job roles in the Core sector, followed by 20% offers in the Software sector. A number of scholarships are offered to meritorious, SC, ST and, female students pursuing the BSc programme. Some of the scholarships are given by previous alumni of the institute while others are from Companies and the Government of India. Students who want to avail the scholarships are required to meet the eligibility criteria. IIT Madras BSc fees comprises of various components, such as tuition fees, hostel fees and one-time fees. The institute also charges a separate amount for mess charges. Candidates who get admission to the full-time BS programme must pay the one-time fees of INR 7,050 during the time of admission. The tuition fees charged by the institute ranges between INR 1.2 Lakh and INR 10 Lakh depending upon the specialisation selected by candidates and the hostel and mess charges are INR 1.74 Lakh and INR 1.37 Lakh respectively.

Candidates must submit the following documents during the time of IIT Madras BS application process:
- Passport size photograph and signature
- Photo ID Card Scan - Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Passport / Voter ID / Driving License / Class 12 admit card/ other Government ID
- Category certificate for applicants who select the SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ EWS category
- PwD certificate for applicants with 40% or more disability
