Yes, GIBS regularly invites visiting faculty, industry experts, and corporate leaders for interactive sessions, workshops, and masterclasses. These engagements happen frequently throughout the year, often in the form of weekly or monthly expert talks under initiatives like the GIBS IRE School, Leadership Talk Series, Saturday Club Activities, and specialised domain sessions. Students get to be exposed to CEOs, entrepreneurs, senior managers, startup founders, and subject specialists who share real-world insights, current industry trends, and practical learnings beyond textbooks. Overall, guest lectures and corporate interactions are a

Hi.

Educational Credentials

Many core-faculty members hold advanced degrees — Ph.D., MBA, sometimes along with other postgraduate credentials. For example:

One listed faculty member has Ph.D. + NIT-Agartala background.

Others have MBA or PGDM from reputed institutions/universities.

Some faculty combine multiple academic credentials (e.g. B.Sc + MBA + Ph.D).

• Blend of Academic + Industry/Professional Background

According to GIBS's own disclosures, a significant portion of their teaching staff are “accomplished professionals with practical experience across different industries, ” not just academics.

On average, many f

Hi.

Based on the most recent placement data publicly available for GIBS Business School (GIBS), here are the main sectors in which most GIBS graduates (PGDM / MBA / BBA) find jobs — i.e. which industries hire from GIBS most.

GIBS offers very diverse placement opportunities — graduates are not confined to conventional MBA/PGDM sectors (like banking, IT, or consulting). If you join GIBS, you have a good chance of entering manufacturing, retail, supply‑chain, automotive, research, market‑research, consumer‑goods or other industries, not just “white‑collar” corporate jobs.

Flipkart (and similar e‑commerce / retail / supply‑chain / sales/marketing firms) — for roles in e‑commerce, sales, supply‑c

BIT Goa is conveniently located in a beautiful neighborhood of Goa, and students can reach through different modes of transportation. Students can arrive at the Goa Dabolim International Airport and take a 15-minute drive to reach BITS Goa Campus. Students can also opt for the railway route and deboard at the Vasco-Da-Gama Railway Station. From there, Birla Goa is around a 2-hour drive away.

Yes — Lovely Professional University (LPU) is commonly considered a Tier-2 university in India.

Why LPU is placed in Tier-2

India does not have an official government “tier” system, so tier labels are based on public perception, rankings, placement performance, research output, and campus resources.

LPU is usually placed in Tier-2 because:

  • It has strong placements (including some very high-package international offers) but not at the consistent average level of IITs/NITs/Top private Tier-1 institutions.

  • It has good infrastructure, large campus facilities, and modern labs — better than many Tier-3 colleges.

  • It is NAAC A+ accredited, r
