Hi.
Based on the most recent placement data publicly available for GIBS Business School (GIBS), here are the main sectors in which most GIBS graduates (PGDM / MBA / BBA) find jobs — i.e. which industries hire from GIBS most.
GIBS offers very diverse placement opportunities — graduates are not confined to conventional MBA/PGDM sectors (like banking, IT, or consulting). If you join GIBS, you have a good chance of entering manufacturing, retail, supply‑chain, automotive, research, market‑research, consumer‑goods or other industries, not just “white‑collar” corporate jobs.

Yes — Lovely Professional University (LPU) is commonly considered a Tier-2 university in India.
Why LPU is placed in Tier-2
India does not have an official government “tier” system, so tier labels are based on public perception, rankings, placement performance, research output, and campus resources.
LPU is usually placed in Tier-2 because:
It has strong placements (including some very high-package international offers) but not at the consistent average level of IITs/NITs/Top private Tier-1 institutions.
It has good infrastructure, large campus facilities, and modern labs — better than many Tier-3 colleges.
It is NAAC A+ accredited, r
