There are a lot of people who are confused with doing distance MBA and prospects after that.
So, coming to the point directly, I will say that if you are fresher and not in a good position in a career it would be a total waste.
Distance Education is only good for people who are already working and are in good position in a company, at this point they can spend little to improve their education qualification for the sake of just degree they are never judged on Distance MBA because work experience speak for them.
A better option that many professionals take is executive MBA where you attend university and do classroom study and work on some projects by universities along with that, you also meet and network with professionals from around the world.
*For executive MBA, you need atleast 2 year work experience.

MDI Gurgaon, one of the premier institute in the country has recently finished it's 2017 batch placement of 343 placement offers from 143 recruiter across the globe with 28.9% rise in the salary package. About 15 students have bagged International offers at package of 55 lakhs per annum with average package being 18.89 lakhs per annum by MDI students. There was 100% placement record for all the 343 students of 2017 batch. It has created a benchmark for industry. The average CTC across the three courses stood at INR 18.89 LPA with the highest domestic CTC being INR 28.74 LPA.
15 students at MDI Gurgaon have also bagged international offers across industries with Tolaram Group extending 4 international offers with the package of 55 LPA which is the highest overall CTC offered in this season.
A total of 143 companies confirmed participation for the MDI final placement 2017 as against 123 companies in last year placement.
The placement season saw an overwhelming response from companies spanning across various functions such as Consulting, General Management, Finance, Strategy, Sales and Marketing, Operations and HR. After completing MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad, the top most institute in the country, there are numerous and huge amount of opportunities given to the students of IIM-A.
The student gets the best placement package with the top profiles in the industry. The batch of 2014-16 has grabbed a package of 39% higher up to 1 crore at the International level surpassing the previous year's package of 78 lakhs. While the domestic package saw a drop down by 5 lakhs to 48 lakh at the domestic level placement as per the data release by the placement cell of IIM-A.
The highest package at the domestic level is about 53 lakh with an average package of 22 lakhs per annum.
Accenture Strategy emerged as the top recruiter at IIMA in placement 2016 across all clusters having selected 18 students from the batch of 383 students at the campus. Bain & Company and The Boston Consulting Group extended 16 and 17 offers respectively. McKinsey made 11 offers.
Other top recruiters included Yes Bank, Goldman Sachs, P&G, Star TV, Bharti Airtel, Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, etc.
