Hello Shreyansh
IRMA offers professional management course along with some sociological perspectives. It has 3 wonderfully designed field work components of 45 days which differentiates from other B-schools. In finance, more focus is towards microfinance which is an emerging filed and IRMAns are very good at it, Marketing subjects are more like other B-schools but those 3 field work components help you understand it better. IRMA exam or popularly known as ISC or Issues of Social Concern tests the candidate's knowledge about the existing as well as proposed government schemes for rural India. After this, the students called for the interview have to undergo a group task (generally a prioritization task in which the group has to come to a consensus), case study presentation (for which 10 min are given to read the case and 2 min to each candidate for presentation), and a final personal interview to complete the icing on the cake! Generally, the ratio is maintained at 1:4 which means 1 student will be selected out of every 4 participants appearing for the interview. IRMA has 180 seats in its flagship PRM programme. So, every year around, 750-800 students are shortlisted for the interview.

No, IRMA doesn't accept CMAT scores for admission. Only CAT and XAT scores are considered valid for admission.

Yes, you have to appear in both CAT and IRMA's exam to qualify for the next round. Both exams have different cutoffs and one has to clear the separate cutoffs individually. IRMA offers a variety of career opportunities in rural marketing, micro finance etc. There are a plethora of opportunities to explore. It all depends on what you want to make out of what the institute is offering. Rest assured, the future is bright after graduating from IRMA.
