Thanks for the question.
You can apply for most of the private colleges but you won't be able to apply for government colleges. The private colleges give the direct admission under management quota which usually has a higher fee than normal admission.
Some of those colleges are:
- VIT
- SRM
- Sathyabama
- Amity University
- Manipal University
- All regional private colleges of Bangalore i.e., BMS, Ramaiya, etc
- PSG-tech
- Hindustan University
Management quota fees are around 1.8 - 2.5m
There are also state private colleges if you prefer to study in your state. Like in Chhattisgarh there are BIT, Shankracharya, Rungta, Columbia, Kruti, etc. Likewi

Dual degree programs are a combination of B.Tech and MS by research. The concept of MS in India is inspired by foreign institute, as outside India only MS is offered as a PG programme. The chances of getting a Ph.D. will be higher for MS students compare to M.Tech student for the below reasons
MS is a research oriented course so after doing MS you will have a clear vision about research and your interest area. Most people have 2-3 good publication during MS, which make their chances of getting good Ph.D. much-2 higher. Outside India M.Tech does't exist only MS is popular, so they will prefer a familiar degree rather than a unfamiliar on

It is not possible with this rank. You should score maximum to get admission. They have various branches but every branch's cut-off is high and not below JEE Mains score of 240.
If you score 250+ then hope to get a branch but not CS.

Hi Kasturi,
Congratulations on such great result, both the colleges are great and it's a hard choice in general, But I'll point some of the difference I know. IIIT Hyderabad, as you know is an International School so, it has an amazing ranking across the world, and it's only Private College in India to make to top 200 of QS ranking at a time. It's has Higher Fee structure than, NIT but With a 100% assurance you'll make more than your fees in a year after graduating from there, so don't consider that point. The faculty and Infrastructure in IIIT H is way better than NIT in Research and Academics. All prof. there have Ph.D. even the newe

You will notice the main difference in IIITH and most of the other engineering colleges (except IITs and possibly some NITs/Jadhavpur) is the focus on research. You should find out about NIT-Trichy too. Research exposure is the thing which will make you stand above as compared to other engineers. If somebody has two offers and not exceptionally different (then choice is obvious), personally I feel taking one closer to your home is always better. But it's an individual preference to give priority to ranking or priority to other things.

IIIT Hyderabad is a private institute run by a private body whose full-form is International Institute of Information and Technology, so it has a distinct mode of admission.
On the other hand, other IIIts are institutes run by the central government whose full-form is Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Therefore, their admission is purely based on JEE Mains score. Hope it helps you.

You are getting CSE in IIIT, Hyderabad. It's the best institute (though private). Its CSE is comparable to CSE of IIT Bombay. The maximum number of GSOCs are from IIIT, Hyderabad. Its curriculum is best-structured. You can decide why Apple, such a great company, only chose to visit IIIT Hyderabad and not any other premier IITs? You will get your answer. If you are getting CSE in IIIT Hyderabad, just don't blink your eyes here and there, go for it. Hope it helps.
