Yes, a 17 year old can give the IPMAT exam. The maximum age limit to be eligible to appear for the IPMAT Indore exam is 20 years as on July 31, of the given year. There is a relaxation in the age limit for the reserved category students. The candidates belonging to the General or NC-OBC category must be a maximum of 20 years and the students belonging to other reserved categories can be a maximum of 22 years in the admission year.

Including this, the students should also fulfil the academic IPMAT eligibility criteria to be able to take the IPMAT exam and IPM Admissions.

IPMAT preparation matches well with regular study at TISS Guwahati for the Bachelor's in Social Science provided you use time effectively. The academic workload at TISS demands students to reserve between 2 to 3 hours each day to get ready for IPMAT. Devote your efforts to studying all sections of Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. Spiend up your weekends to perform practice tests as well as to review your material. Modern IPMAT testing usually runs during May-June thus implementing a well-organized preparation plan from the beginning allows students to manage academic course work successfully.

Preparation for any entrance exam goes through various phases. First phase of IPMAT exam should include covering the IPMAT syllabus and covering important topics. It is important to know what are the strengths and weaknesses of the student.
Once the learning phase is over, next phase should focus on revision and practice. During this stage, students should start attempting sectional tests and topic wise quizzes to strengthen their knowledge of different concepts.

IPMAT mock tests are very useful for the IPMAT exam preparation. Attempting mock tests has always been a good experience for the IPMAT aspirants. A mock test can help gauge the student's performance and enable them to find their weaknesses. Students should aim to take at least 15-20 mock test before the IPMAT exam day.

One mock test can be taken before starting the preparation to know where do you stand. The next few can be taken when the candidate has completed at least 50% of the syllabus and the rest when they have covered the IPMAT syllabus and during the revision phase.

Yes, one can appear for the IPMAT exam even if they didn't have mathematics in Class 12. There are no specific requirements of the IPMAT exam for having studied mathematics.

However, cracking IPMAT without having studied Mathematics in Class 11 and 12 can be a bit tricky and challenging. This is because higher level Mathematics dominate the exam. More than 60% of all the numerical are from Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus. One can also consider taking coaching for the sections they find difficult. The two sections based on Quantitative Aptitude are different in nature. One section has MCQs while the other has Short Answer Type questions.
