The IPU CET syllabus will be available on the official website. The CET syllabus will be different for each course. Candidates must check the syllabus before they start exam preparation.

The IPU CET 2026 syllabus varies for each course. The BTech (Lateral Entry) syllabus includes topics from Applied Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Awareness and Physics/ Chemistry Related Knowledge, Analytical and Logical Reasoning
The BTech (Biotechnology) syllabus includes topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology from Class 11 and 12.

Candidates need not write IPU CET to apply for BTech. They can apply for BTech at the IP University with the JEE Main score.

Clearing the IPU CET for BTech Diploama laterl entry exam in first attempt is not a difficult task. To score good marks in IPU CET in the first attempt, it is advised that students study the diploma-level syllabus topics thoroughly. They must clear all the concepts. Diploma books which students study are the best books for IPU CET preparation. Students must study these books properly and solve all the questions in the book and do not memorise the concepts as some students do.

IPU CET 2026 will be conducted for 150 minutes. There will be 100 questions with 4 Multiple Choice Response. Each question will carry 4 marks. There shall be a negative marking of one mark for every wrong answer.

Yes. It is compulsory to attend all the sections. 20% of the questions will be in English. The candidates must definitely attempt the questions from english.
