Umadevi, I suggest that instead of targeting minimum makes, just focus on your preparation if you have yet to give exam next year and try to get on the higher side.

U should first go 4 counselling. Process.
During counselling if u get NIT then take it.this would b best.
Bt if u doesn't get NIT then taking drop will be best.
U can also try 4 other good private college.without taking drop.

If you are in SC category and qualified than apply for it. Sometimes seats remain vacant in SC category so apply in all IITs. Once you get selected you have a verities of choice to choose among them. All the best

Hi Priyadarshan,
The cut-offs vary year after year, hence, I would request you to attempt the paper to the best of your capabilities. The mantra to success is dedication, commitment and determination. Stay focused and work hard towards goal attainment. You will certainly reap results, remember hard work always pays off. Don't underestimate your potential, you are worth a thousand sparrows. Don't let your fear demotivate you or derail you from your future aspirations.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert.
Wish you luck.
