All previous year and current year question papers are uploaded after the exam on the official website of Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced and on the Shiksha page. Mode of the exam: The examination will be conducted only in the CBT mode.
A number of papers: Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory. Language: English and Hindi. Total duration: 6 hours, paper 1 of 3 hours and paper 2 of 3 hours
The question paper design varies in the following aspects each year:
Marking scheme: The marking schemes change each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme will be provided in the Instructions to Students section at the time of examination. A number of sections: There are 3 parts in each of the 2 papers - papers 1 and 2. The parts are PCM. Each part has 4 sections, the sections are based on varied factors of the marking scheme.

For Joint Entrance Examination Advanced the minimum qualifying mark is 75 percent in class 12. Students need to have studied subjects like Mathematics, Physics Chemistry and English or Hindi.
