There is total 2291 seats reserved for SC category students. You can definitely get a seat in some IIT with your category rank.

You should start solving questions. Around 8,000 is the safest rank for securing a seat in the top 7 IITs.

IIT Roorkee will be better as IIT Roorkee is a very good college with great placement offers. IIT Dhanbad in contrast has not much good placements than IIT Roorkee.

Yes, ofcourse you will get an IIT at this rank. You should fill out the JoSAA Counseling according to your preferences.

You can go for MnC at IIT Patna but I would say you should aim for top IITs with Electrical or ECE.

You can get IIT Delhi Energy engineering. Also in IIT Kanpur you can get Aerospace and in IIT BHU you can get Civil engineering. Many IITs are open at this rank. Best of luck.
