With 54 marks you will not get a seat in any NIT as the score is not for the colleges you want to join. So try for IIITs to have better opportunities.

Register for the counseling of JOSSA, regularly visit its website after JEE Advance and check the details. Now after you have registered, make choice fillings based on your interest (mean most priority up), and make sure you lock it the last day. After that you will know what to do.

Hello Sree Harsha,
It is very interesting to see your desire to get into deemed to be university for doing your graduation. I assume, it's engineering graduation. Many deemed to be universities accept students from top 20% bracket or who are placed in order of merit in their Engineering branches directly without going through entrance exams. This is fundamentally to attract students with good academic records. But you will have to find out from your intended institution the rules governing this. Best wishes to you.

The chances look very slim for General Category. Still, you may try your luck. The past records say it is difficult.
