It belong to which categories you belong to. And if you don't belong to CRL or OC categorize, you can get the seat easily there.

You have to give VITEEE exam to take admission in VIT University. JEE Main rank has nothing to do with VIT so it's not possible. It is better to opt for other colleges because in that much rank you will get civil branch that to in Chennai campus in a higher category.
