If your rank is 161248 in JEE main 2025, you will not get admission in NIT but there are chances to get admission in low branches in NIT. If you want CSE or electronic  branches, then you can participate in UPTU Counselling.

BIT Mesra admits candidates to the BTech course based on the scores of candidates in the JEE Main exam. The admission process is entrance-based and candidates must appear for JEE Main to participate in the same. Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores must also participate in the JoSAA counselling round for final seat allotment. 

If you want any core branch, then you can easily get admission, but if you want CS, IT is like branches with 65 percentile, then it becomes tough to get direct admission, for that you have to fill reap form.

JEE Main is the entrance exam for admission to the four-year BTech at ITS Engineering College. The required JEE Main cut-off required in different rounds of UPTAC counselling varies yearly. It further differs for candidates belonging to different reservation categories. University of Hyderabad offers Integrated BTech courses via JEE Main. Based on University of Hyderabad JEE Main cutoff 2024, the closing rank for the General AI category candidates ranged between 42292 and 143318.
