Hello Vijay,
For admission into IITs, your JEE Advanced marks and ranks are only considered. So, you cannot get IITs with JEE main marks. With JEE main scores you can get only NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
All the best.

Try if you can get into NIT with this rank. May NIT, KUK, if you have some reservation as well. Or some low rank NITs.
Then next you can try for colleges under IPU. If you get a good college there, then you go for it.
In case both of above do not work for you, then you can again go for colleges on the basis of JEE score. Like YMCA Faridabad and similar government colleges.

Hello Sriram,
Yes, you can get admission as per your marks. As the ranks have been released, if you mention your rank then I may tell the exact possibility of getting a seat.
If your AIR is 2000 or more, then your chances will be low or nil. If you have a TNR ranking (home state rank) then you might get a seat.
So, mention your rank. Check your rank from www.sastra.edu

Of course, you can if you wish to. Nothing could stop you there. The ECE branch is good and faculty and infrastructure is great. The only problem sometimes is the placement in core ECE companies. But potential candidates in the branch have always performed well despite that and gotten placed in very good companies.

Yes, you can try for NIT's. Your category quota might fetch you a seat in one of the NIT's. NIT Hamirpur most probably because previous year's closing rank was highest for NIT Hamirpur.
