The cutoff for the JEE Main at Canara Engineering College (CEC) differs according to the course and category of the student. For example, in the KCET 2024 (Karnataka Common Entrance Test), the closing ranks were different in the B.Tech course. In some popular courses, such as B.E. in Computer Science, the closing rank was 39,604 during Round 1 but escalated to 42,915 in the final round. Other branches, like Mechanical Engineering, closed with a rank of 117,962 in the final round.

SASTRA University typically considers:

For 2024, JEE Main is likely to declare results in the month of February for the January session and April for the April session after its exams are over. Yes, admission to the B.E. / B.Tech course at M.S. Engineering College is possible without JEE Main. The college takes entrance exams other than KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) and COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) for admitting students. Students may get a seat based on the merit secured in these state-level entrance exams, and admissions are strictly based on merit. Although some institutions accept JEE Main, M.S. Engineering College offers alternative routes through regional entrance exams, which gives flexibility to students who did not appear for JEE Main.
