Please specify the name of the college in which you want to get admission. As you are trying to mention a college, there are many factors that determine the admission.
With this rank in JEE Mains you cannot get the top NITs.

You can either get into the college with whatever branch you are getting and if you try enough, later you can get your desired branch through internal sliding after first year or you can drop a year to get a better rank that will get you into a reputed college with your desired branch.
Also, do try for some low rank NIT's till spot round. You might hold a chance if you are lucky

Try your luck or else you can drop a year to get a better rank in JEE next year. If not that, then you always have option to join a private institute.

It depends upon the rank you got. In accordance with that rank kindly have a look through JoSAA's 2016 opening and closing rank of various colleges to get a rough idea about which govt. colleges you can get. JoSAA is the body that looks over the seat allocation through JEE Mains.
