Hello Josyula,
This will be the first year, wherein the marks of class 12th will not be considered. This clearly means that your AIR will be determined exclusively by marks obtained in JEE Mains.

JEE Mains mathematics is easy. You should learn more concepts rather than going deep. You should also solve the topics, which are not in JEE advance.

You need to be confident and revise formulas. Do not try to learn new concepts and take a complete sleep.

Hello Subhadip,
The score required to get into NIT or IIIT varies from institute to institute. If you study hard and score reasonably, then you can definitely get admission under OBC quota in one of these institutions.

Students take a year off for the preparation of JEE Mains, but if you work wholeheartedly and plunge into it, maybe you have a chance. Prepare in two ways, firstly, logical thinking and logical answers. Secondly, prepare by solving as many old test papers as possible.

In my opinion, HC Verma is a sufficient tool for JEE mains and advanced. If you have a strong foundation, then solve problems from it. This will strengthen your concepts. However, if you want to make your fundamental clear, I would suggest you to refer some other good books like Pradeep or ABC.
All the best.
