Well, all international student come through NRI quota. So, all the private and government colleges have some separate seat for NRI quota for international students but exams and interviews are a must for that.

You will be able to get admission in IIT/ NIT if you have done your 12th board from a recongnised board even as a private candidate. Your 12th board marks sheet and certificate will be sufficient proof for your education.

It is recommended that you do B.Tech at a lower ranked college or any other degree of your choice as spending another year in JEE preparation is not a guarantee of getting admission in IIT.

If your aggregate in PCM is above 60% (general), you are eligible. If you belong to OBC category, you need 50% aggregate in PCM and for SC/ST, more 4-5% relaxation.
