If you feel like you can crack it to the top then you should drop the year. Otherwise dropping an whole year leads you to certain problems afterwards. Its better to find a good private university and get enrolled. They are also having good infrastructure nowadays. You can also apply for their own entrance exam and may avail scholarships also. You should check out some colleges -

yes u can get a good college aftr counselling but it would b still not highly satisfing u with labs choose consulting with gud counsellor

it's quite difficult if u talk about government colleges but u may proceed with private one coz present scenario has been changed now private college do offer amazing packages
choose private colleges accordingly

if mains paper cutoff is not cleared for advanced but u have cleared only mains cutoff, you can appear for counselling .

Hi. Dropping a year requires a lot of conviction, guts and focussed mind to succeed at the end. Drop only if you have no other good option available. And if you decide to drop, make sure you land in a very good college so that you can explain this decision to companies or admission officers in future if you plan to do masters.
