if mains paper cutoff is not cleared for advanced but u have cleared only mains cutoff, you can appear for counselling .

Hi. Dropping a year requires a lot of conviction, guts and focussed mind to succeed at the end. Drop only if you have no other good option available. And if you decide to drop, make sure you land in a very good college so that you can explain this decision to companies or admission officers in future if you plan to do masters.
